As senior vice president, treasurer, Keith Woodward oversees all areas of the treasury function, including:
- The global capital structure team.
- Cash flow optimization.
- Dividend and share repurchase strategy.
- Overall debt structure and risk management.
Woodward has served in multiple financial roles throughout his career, most recently serving for seven years as the head of finance for the domestic finance organization. He has also held major financial operating divisional roles, an international assignment, and cross-functional experiences in marketing and sales.
Woodward joined General Mills in 1991 as a senior financial analyst in corporate growth and development.
In 1995 he served as corporate financial manager for Cereal Partners Worldwide, the General Mills cereal joint venture with Nestle located in Switzerland. He returned to the U.S. in 1998 and became the finance director in the Snacks division.
Woodward moved to the Big G cereals division and was promoted to vice president, finance, in March 2000. He moved to the Bakeries and Foodservice division as the vice president of restaurant accounts and later as vice president of foodservice business development before heading up finance for General Mills supply chain and innovation, technology and quality organizations.
He was promoted to senior vice president, Financial Operations in May 2008 where he served until being named to his current role as treasurer in March 2015.
Prior to his time with General Mills he worked as a CPA for Price Waterhouse.
