Ricardo Fernandez has responsibility for business and brand growth in markets including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Central America and the Caribbean.
Previously, Fernandez served as vice president of global marketing for Cereal Partners Worldwide, the General Mills joint venture with Nestle. Prior to that role, he was vice president of Totino's and Pillsbury frozen portfolios.
From 2008-2012, Fernandez held positions within the company’s Latin American region as regional marketing director and managing director of Brazil. During this time, he played a critical role in mergers and acquisitions assessment, and prepared the organization for the eventual acquisition of Yoki Alimentos.
He joined General Mills in 1999 and held various marketing roles with increasing responsibility, which included working on brands like Go-Gurt, Hamburger Helper, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, and Cheerios.
Fernandez is an active member of the General Mills Hispanic Network, an organization focused on enhancing the experiences of Hispanic employees at General Mills.
